Kuwait: 1760 illegal residents get drivers' licenses in '14


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY Dec 21 (KUNA): A total of 1760 drivers' licenses were issued for illegal residents in the first nine months of 2014 the Central Agency for Remedying Illegal Residents' Status announced on Saturday. Acting director of the information department at the Agency Abdullah Al-Farhan told KUNA that 987 drivers' licenses were issued in Jahra Governorate 271 ones in Farwaniya Governorate 225 in Al-Assimah Governorate 76 in Hawalli Governorate and 38 in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. The move is in line with a Cabinet decree adopted in 2011 to provide privileges and facilities to illegal residents including male and female residents.

Kisses in public : A video of a youth and a girl exchanging kisses in front of Kuwait Towers went viral on social media as a third person laid on the ground and took photos of the event and others cheered them on. A security source said officers from Moral Guidance Unit have opened an investigation to identify youths in the video who disregarded passersby and exchanged kisses in front of the public. The officers are also trailing those who posted the video on social media.
