Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Meets
(MENAFN- QNA) Speaker of Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim met here today with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to Kuwait.
Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) said during the meeting the two sides underlined the strength of relations between the two countries and the need to develop them. They also discussed the latest political and security developments in Iraq and the region as well as the intensification of efforts to combat terrorism.
Abadi's visit to Kuwait comes after similar visits made by Iraqi National Assembly Speaker Saleem Al-Jabouri and Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari over the past weeks.
