'PK' plays the curiosity card

(MENAFN- Arab News) Curiosity killed the cat Not this time.

For countdown has started as the clock ticks away for the most-awaited movie of this year 'PK'. And typical of all Aamir Khan films 'PK' too is living up to all the mystery and secrecy that it has whipped up!

So we do know Aamir is 'PK' but what does it mean A little birdie says it's Aamir's name which is Punmiya Kushal.

'Extraordinary' is Aamir's second name! This isn't the first time that he has an unusual name. Remember Phunsukh Wangdu of '3 Idiots' Director Rajkumar Hirani's movies are known for unusual names and characters.

Do you know The script of 'PK' was kept under such strict wraps that even co-actors Saurabh Shukla Sushant Singh Rajput and Boman Irani were given only their portions of it. The film promos too are designed smartly playing up the curiosity card subtly and silently. As is visible in the promos the leading lady Anushka Sharma's love interest is Sushant Singh Rajput and not Khan (!) whose absence from the promos is kind-of intriguing too. What's cooking up who knows

Interestingly Anushka Sharma had auditioned for Kareena Kapoor's role in '3 Idiots' a recording of which had been preserved and is now being cleverly used in the making of the film's videos. There is a buzz in the fashion world about Anushka's new look in the film. Talk revolves around the fact that the filmmaker actually tried quite a few looks before finalising the 'short-haired' avatar and then she chose to don a wig for this coveted role. Rajkumar Hirani further clarified the reason to give Anushka a pixie haircut is simple 'I like girls who wear their hair short' said Hirani. Although he had tried the same with Kareena in '3 Idiots' but the look didn't work. It sure works quite well on Anushka.

Aamir 'Perfectionist' Khan hopes that our PM Narendra Modi watches 'PK'. He disclosed 'Though it is well known that the Prime Minister is always busy in work it would be interesting if Modi watches the film.'

There are rumors floating around that Aamir's character in the film centers around an autistic person. But Aamir quashed the reports saying that his character in upcoming film 'PK'does not suffer from autism and emphasized that this is one of the toughest roles he has done in his career.

Khan also refuted the rumors of not holding any special screening for the Khan trio that rules the roost in Bollywood. Aamir clarified 'I have not planned anything special for Salman or Shah Rukh Khan. Rather we are not planning to have any screening for anyone until the release because we want the people to witness the film in a theater and having a screening would only lead to the plot being leaked before the release. We don't want anyone's experiences to be spoiled. Hence we will keep the curiosity alive and have no special screening for anyone outside the cast and crew who have worked on the film.'

Hold on! There are more starry associations with 'PK'. It seems that the first-look teaser of two of 2015 upcoming films Amitabh Bachchan-Farhan Akhtar's 'Wazir' and Anushka Sharma's 'NH 10' will release with 'PK'. Double dhamaka for filmi fans!!

Moreover Aamir's upcoming movie has been grabbing eyeballs ever since the first poster broke in. His 'bare' stint with the transistor had received a considerable amount of buzz from both within the industry and outside. So cool your heels and wait for 'PK' to burn the screen!
