Qatar Airways to launch service to Eritrean capital


(MENAFN) Qatar Airways announced that it will launch a new service to Eritrean capital Asmara starting December 4, thus marking its 12th destination in Africa, The Peninsula Qatar reported.

The carrier said that the new route, which will be operated on an Airbus A320 aircraft, will provide passengers to and from Eritrea with two weekly flights connecting Asmara via Doha to over 140 destinations around the world.

"QA is proud to be the first five-star airline to launch non-stop flights to Asmara and the commencement of our services is another example of QA's commitment to open up access to markets we believe have great potential," QA Chief Commercial Officer said.
