Britain condemns terror attack on Iraq's Irbil province


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The British government condemned on Wednesday the terrorist attack in Irbil province which resulted in killing and injuring dozens.

In a statement, British Minister for the Middle East Tobias Ellwood condemned the terrorist attack in Irbil and offers continued UK support to the Iraqi people.

"I am appalled by the news of the terrorist attack today in Erbil that killed at least four people and injured many more. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

"This is a reminder of the threat of indiscriminate terrorism to all in Iraq," Ellwood said.

"The UK will continue to stand by the people of Iraq, the government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Regional Government in their fight against terrorism and protecting civilians from ISIL's murderous campaign." "The Royal Air Force participated in coalition strikes on targets in Northern Iraq again last night as part of our strategy to degrade ISIL in support of Iraqi ground forces," the statement concluded.
