First dispatch of Saudi relief to Sudan delivered today
(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A Saudi cargo plane, laden with foodstuff and relief items sent to Sudan upon directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, arrived in Khartoum today to alleviate the sufferings of flood-stricken people in the Arab Islamic country.
Acting Charge D'Affaires of the Saudi embassy in Khartoum Saeed Al-Ghamdi, Director of the Khartoum-based Relief Office of the Saudi Red Crescent Dr. Mohammed bin Omar Al-Sayyid and a number of officials received the consignment at the airport.
Al-Sayyid said the shipment includes relief items, blankets, tents and foodstuffs, adding that the second plane will reach Khartoum tomorrow.
