Qatar, Benin sign deals


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks with the President of Benin, Thomas Yayi Boni, at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.

The Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani and ministers as well as Boni's delegation were also present. The session dealt with means of developing cooperation in different fields and topics of mutual interest.

The Emir and the president also witnessed the signing of an agreement between Al Wakra Municipality and the Djougou Municipality and an air services agreement between Qatar and Benin. The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the president and his delegation.

Earlier, Boni was accorded an official reception at the Emiri Diwan. Later, Boni left Doha. He and his delegation were seen off at Hamad International Airport by the Minister of Transport

H E Jassim Seif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, Qatar's Ambassador to Benin, Mohammed Jaber Al Kuwari, and the Beninese Ambassador to Qatar, Seydou Baku Bukhari.
