Kuwait consul touts participation in Dubai hospitality event


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwaiti General Consul in Dubai and Northern Emirates Thiab Al-Rashidi claimed here on Saturday Kuwait's participation in the second edition of the Dubai World Hospitality Championship held here.

Hailing the championship, Al-Rashidi said, in statements to KUNA, that he was eager to partake in the event which was held at Zaآ'abeel Palace Hospitality and attended by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The second edition of the Dubai World Hospitality Championship kick-started in Dubai on October 30 and winds up later today.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has provided all types of help and support for a Kuwaiti team partcipating in the hospitality championship in Dubai, Dalal Al-Azmi, a team member, said to KUNA.

The delegation joining the event under the ministry's umbrella consists of 10 efficiently productive families who partook in several activities of the championship, mainly food creations and kitchen utensils, she added.

The Dubai World Hospitality Championship featured programs, activities and competitions highlighting the authentic cooking style that represents the true Emirati culture.

The championship is designed to introduce the UAEØ¢'s culinary traditions on a global level and to promote the GCC hospitality culture among future generations.

The championship included competitions in Food Creations, the Gulf Products Competition, and the Hospitality Sector Competition, among others.
