(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Egyptian Ministry of Interior said Saturday the security services managed to dismantle a terrorist cell whose members travelled to Syria before.
Those arrested had joined the ranks of terrorist groups in Syria and were arrested upon their return to Egypt; they were waiting orders to carry out terrorist attacks in Egypt, Spokesman of the Ministry Maj.-Gen. Hani Abdullatif said in a press release.
During interrogations they confessed of travelling to Turkey and infiltrating into Syria to join the camps of a terrorist organization "to get physical, mental and military training for terrorist operations," he added.
