Qatar- QNB launches initiatives to develop skills for employees

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) QNB has recently held a series of developmental and skills enhancing initiatives for employees as part of its ongoing Human Capital strategy to be seen as an "Employer of Choice" in Qatar and as a driver of excellence across its growing international operations.

The important events that took place were a Certified Management Development Programme Ceremony, the completion of the fourth series of the Qatari Staff Induction Programmes held this year and a Corporate Credit Analysis Programme conducted to international best practice standards.

Commenting on the significance of the various initiatives undertaken, Yousef Al Othman, GM, Group Human Capital Division said: "Given both QNB's domestic market leadership position and the impressive ongoing international expansion taking place, it is imperative that our Human Capital capabilities continue to meet the growing requirements of our business. With that in mind, we are constantly looking at ways of developing and enhancing our offering to existing and new employees to ensure that we have the best employee talent both here in Qatar and overseas."

"The three events recently undertaken reinforce our desire to be seen as an "Employer of Choice" and are important developments in preparing our employees for their careers with Mena's leading financial institution," he said.

The Certified Management Development Programme is part of QNB Group's Talent Management Programme which has the purpose of building and strengthening the management and leadership capabilities of QNB's growing expansion programme.

The Induction Programme incorporates a six week course composed of 12 modules into nine days of "on the job training" for new groups of employees. An important component of the Human Capital Annual Strategy, the Induction Programme prepares employees for their roles working with the biggest bank in Qatar and directs them towards the best-fit roles for their skills sets within the Group. The recent Graduation Ceremony, again held at QNB Offices at Al Mathaf, was the fourth undertaken this year by Human Capital.
