(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tokyo October 14 (QNA) - Tokyo stocks tumbled Tuesday with the Nikkei stock index ending below the psychologically important 15000 threshold for the first time in two months as investor sentiment was impaired by recent major losses on Wall Street.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 364.04 points or 2.38% from Friday at 14936.51 its worst finish since August 8. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange shed 28.82 points or 2.32% to 1214.27 according to Japan's (Kyodo) News Agency.
