Qatar- 12,500 sheep offered at subsidised rates

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Syrian and Jordanian sheep are quite popular with citizens and being quite expensive, the government is providing some 12,500 of them to the community members at subsidised rates during this Eid Al Adha. A Syrian sheep is being made available to a national for QR1,350 while the discounted price for a Jordanian sheep is QR1,080. Meanwhile, Al Sharq reported that there was so much rush at the abattoirs in Doha yesterday that many people, including nationals and expatriates, carried sheep and goats home for slaughter. Many people waited for hours on end to get their sheep or goat slaughtered.
