(MENAFN- QNA) US President Barack Obama met Wednesday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The US President said his administration was committed to the safety of Israel, but criticized the Israeli government's war on Gaza. Obama said that the Israeli government must find ways to protect its citizens without "the tragedy of Palestinian children being killed as well." It was the first meeting between Obama and Netanyahu since Israel's war on Gaza which left 2,100 Palestinians killed.
They also discussed the coalition established under the leadership of the US to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Netanyahu expressed his administration's support to the coalition.
