UAE's Air Arabia to extend its operation services

(MENAFN) Air Arabia, the Sharjah-based low-cost carrier, is planning to extend its services to operate in all airports in the Arab world as the airline enters into its second decade of operations, Gulf Daily News reported.

Air Arabia, which currently flies to 89 airports across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe from its four hubs of Sharjah, Alexandria, Casablanca and Ras Al Khaimah, also announced that it flew more than 1.6 million passengers in the April-June period of this year, an increase of 8 percent compared to the 1.5 million passengers carried in the same period of 2013.

The airline currently operates 14 flights a week to Bahrain and will rise the number of frequencies to 17 per week with three more flights over the weekend, starting this winter.

"Growing economies, increasing numbers of tourists and ongoing economic diversification will drive demand for low-cost aviation," Air Arabia said in a statement.
