Ban appreciates Kuwait contributions to Iraq, Syria
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday thanked Kuwait for its generous support to the United Nations and its humanitarian effort in Iraq and Syria.
During his meeting with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's representative Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, Ban expressed gratitude for Kuwait's hosting of the international humanitarian pledging conferences for Syria and for the country's generous contributions to the people of Syria.
Ban reassured Kuwait of the United Nations' commitment to fulfilling the Security Council's mandate on missing Kuwaiti persons and properties.
Furthermore, both sides discussed the situations in Libya and Yemen as well as issues related to climate change.
