Tunisian, French leaders mull Gaza situation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Tunisia's caretaker President Moncef Marzouki and French President Francois Hollande discussed by phone on Sunday the current serious situation in the Gaza Strip as the number of Palestinian victims is increasing.

During the phone conversation, both leaders agreed to exert efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, according to a presidential statement.

They discussed the situation in the Gaza strip in light of the increase of the number of Palestinian civilian victims and the risks of the development of ground operation, the statement added.

Meanwhile, Tunis and several other Tunisian cities have been the scene of protests against the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
