Russian FM meets OIC chief

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held talks in Jeddah Saturday with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Iyad Madani on regional and international matters of mutual interest. Lavrov and Madani agreed to continue consultations and dialogue within the framework of cooperation between Russia and the OIC, a statement by the Jeddah-based organization said. Madani accepted Lavrov's invitation to visit Russia and the Russian communities in Chechnya, Dagestan, Tatarstan and Crimea, it said.
