Egypt expresses keenness on Iraq's unity, sovereignty

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Egypt on Friday expressed keenness on the sovereignty and territorial unity of Iraq, following the gains made by the Islamic State on Iraq and Levent, or ISIL. Foreign Ministry spokesman Bader Abdulaati said in a statement that Egypt was following with interests the developments in Iraq over the past several days. He called on all political and social forces in Iraq to iron out their differences to form a solid front in the face of terrorists and extremists. Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs Nasser Kamel concluded a visit to Iraq yesterday, during which he met with government officials and political parties' representatives.
