Comoros president inaugurates hospital built with UAE help


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Equipped with state-of-the-art equipment the new hospital will now save patients the hassles of having to travel abroad for treatment.

the president of the comoros islands ikililou dhoinine has inaugurated the country’s largest and most modern hospital which was funded by the uae’s khalifa bin zayed al nahyan foundation.

thanking the leadership and people of the uae for providing humanitarian support to his country men president dhoinine said the new facility is the first of its kind on a tropical island.

equipped with state-of-the-art equipment the new hospital will now save patients the hassles of having to travel abroad for treatment.

the money saved will be used in the country’s economic development president dhoinine said in his inaugural speech.

the people of comoros he added would never forget the generous humanitarian grant by the president his highness shaikh khalifa bin zayed al nahyan general shaikh mohammed bin zayed al nahyan crown prince of abu dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the uae armed forces and shaikh mansour bin zayed al nahyan deputy prime minister minister of presidential affairs and chairman of the khalifa bin zayed al nahyan foundation.

its equipment has been manufactured in the uae. the hospital boasts a 12-bed intensive care unit and two radiology and immunisation wards.
