Iran: Western Pressure and Threats Are Ineffective

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said that imposing pressure or threat against Iran are ineffective and negotiations could be useful only on the basis of reciprocal respect and accepting Iranians inalienable rights.

Afkham said some analyses by certain US circles on Iran's nuclear program are caused by wrong pre-assumptions and incomplete information about Iran's peaceful nuclear program, according to Iran's (IRNA) News Agency.

According to the Foreign Ministry Media Department, Marziyeh Afkham added that while negotiations between Iran and Group 5+1 are underway, creating suspicion and presenting pessimistic recommendations based on radical viewpoints cannot help the process. Afkham added that Iran, by continuing talks with Group 5+1, is following its lawful right to use peaceful nuclear energy in the framework of Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), and wants to remove all real and logical concerns in this field
