A case of swine flu detected

(MENAFN- Arab News) A 27-year-old woman from al-kamel governorate has fallen ill with swine flu local media reported thursday

The woman named only as kholoud was diagnosed with the disease at hera general hospital

'she came to us from the al-kamel area with a severe case of pneumonia. the tests confirmed that she has swine flu" said the director general of hera hospital

The al-kamel hospital had earlier not determined why the woman was sick. sultan al-fahmi director general of the hospital said the facility does not have the capability to run these tests and gave the woman "first aid within the limits of our capabilities.

Hera hospital has vaccinated her family and those who came in contact with her

Muhammad awad al-wuthayini the woman's father told local media that kholoud was currently in hera hospital's intensive care unit. he complained that doctors in al-kamel could not diagnose the condition of his daughter

'she first had a high temperature then a bad cough and diarrhea.

She almost died after four days of going back and forth to the doctors.

He said no one in the governorate had fallen ill with swine flu before.
