A new range of products with a variety of technical improvements in all segments - home appliances, TVs, tablets, printers, cameras - will be launched in the Mena region in the first half of 2014. All these products were showcased at a big Press conference in Malaga to a select group of journalists drawn from the region. Samsung executives took the journalists individually to each product and explained to them at great length the various new features introduced into products
Speaking about the company's performance in the region, Choong Ro Lee, President of Samsung Middle East and North Africa, said: "Samsung has achieved ground-breaking success in this region. Thanks to our deep local consumer insight, engineering excellence, software innovation, and clever design, we have achieved sales growth of 38 per cent this past year and maintained our position as the brand of choice in the Mena region.
Of all, the ultra high definition TV with a deep curve takes the cake. Big TVs in the sizes of 78 inch and the above were displayed at a huge exhibition mounted at the site of the press conference. The TVs with deep curves give out images that have 3D like experience. So what you get is 3D experience without 3D glasse
Samsung's new TV named U9000 Curved UHD TV provides a wider field of view, a panoramic effect that makes the TV seem even bigger than it is, offering twice the enhanced contrast ratio of a flat TV. Above all, the UHD TV has a curve of 4,200 radii, making it the most curved TV in the world, and creating the perfect viewing experience. Additionally, viewers can experience a 3D effect without glasses with the new Auto Depth Enhancer feature
Samsung further enhanced UHD TV experience through new proprietary technologies that provide incredible image depth, detail and colour
The new line of TVs are also equipped with what is called up-scaling process that converts HD and full HD content to near-UHD quality
Samsung's TVs are also becoming even smarter, with a new feature that brings multitasking to the big screen. You can browse the internet and check your e-mails even as you are watching the TV on the same screen. Smart TV performance is further enhanced with Samsung's upgraded Quad Core processor, QuadCore Plus, which performs at twice the speed of its predecessor
Sound systems enhance TV viewin
Samsung unveiled new sound systems that can make TV viewing even better. The latest Samsung TV experience can be enhanced by the latest sound systems released by the South Korean company. The new audio systems lets listeners enjoy entertainment anywhere in the house, from virtually any audio source
The new Soundbar HW-H751 is designed with a sleek, metallic appearance and delivers full cinematic, life-like surround sound that can amplify any home entertainment experience with 320W of quality sound. Consumers can also experience exceptional sound quality through Samsung's new BD-HES H7750WM Blu-ray Home Entertainment System, which reduces sound distortion and offers improved sound clarity

What makes this a completely connected experience is Samsung's Wireless Audio - Multiroom function, which is enabled on both of these products. Consumers can now easily and wirelessly connect to their TV or listen to music stored in other AV products
New line of washing machine
Another interesting and very exciting product released by the Samsung is their new line of washing machines which are connected through Wi-Fi to a mobile app. Their functioning can be manipulated from a mobile both from within the house and outside
The WW9000 is the latest washing machine designed specifically for the Mena market. The washer features an extra-large door for easier opening and closing, and it has a minimalist frame with a translucent, deep-blue crystal finish for a gorgeous finish. A large 5-inch color touch screen is included for simple, smart controls
The washer also features an Auto Optimal Wash option, which uses four sensing technologies that determine the optimum wash cycle, temperature, washing time, rinse cycle and spin speed based on the size of the laundry load, how dirty the clothes are
Not only is the WW9000 smart, but it is fast. The Super Speed Wash feature completes laundry in 60 minutes - for 5kg loads with default settings - by quickly filing the drum with water through its twin water supply. While the WW9000 helps to reduce laundry time, it also reduces energy levels by using a unique bubble generator that dissolves detergent quicker, penetrates through clothes faster, and uses less hot water to save energy on every load
Samsung also introduced the top mounted freezer RT6000, which blends functionality, technology and design into a customised model for the Mena market
The Samsung also came up with another line of tablets known as pro-tablets. They seek to combine the traditional entertainment functions with business and work-oriented themes. Productivity, performance and portability put the 'PRO' into new line-up of powerful GalaxyPRO tablets. The Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO deliver the industry's best tablet viewing experience with the world's first 12.2-inch WQXGA display incorporating more than 4 million pixels. They have a viewing area that is 48-per cent wider than traditional 10-inch tablets, allowing users to enjoy stunning full HD video play and more information at a glance, as well as a new, more intuitive design that enhances every type of content
The galaxy NotePRo and TabPRo deliver the best tablet viewing experience
Both models sport advanced productivity features that allow users to view up to four windows on their screen at once. The optimised virtual keyboard produces a more realistic and intuitive typing experience
For additional value and productivity, the Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO will come with a selection of pre-loaded or free downloadable premium apps, content and services. Samsung continues to let users choose which size of tablet they want with 8.4" and 10.1" TabPRO models
Printer
The Samsung is also releasing a new line of printers equipped with Near Field Technologies (NFC) in the Mena market
It unveiled at the Mena Forum its new mono laser and multi-function printers as well as its series of colour laser and multi-function printers
With outstanding speeds and NFC printing capabilities, these printers provide small- to medium-sized businesses with easy, convenient mobile printing. The mono laser printers feature high-speeds of 28 pages per minute, while the colour laser printers can print 18 pages per minute
Thanks to the NFC and Wi-Fi Direct technologies, users can simply tap their smartphones on the printers to easily and securely print pictures, documents, e-mails and web content
Mobile printing is also supported via Samsung's mobile printing application, which can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple App stores for free. Additionally, Samsung Galaxy users can easily print by touching the "print button" on their Galaxy devices. Finally, users can print whatever they want, from wherever they are - through Google Cloud Print.
Camera
The Samsung also unveiled a new line of cameras with improved capabilities. Some of these are tiltable so that you can take a picture without bending and changing your posture
They also now have the Android-powered Galaxy Camera 2 that combines the quality imaging of a high end camera with intuitive sharing capabilities. The next-generation Galaxy camera is a high performance camera with 16MP and 21x optical zoom and full benefits of the Android platform
The Mena Forum at Malaga gave a full preview of the new electronic goodies to be released in the region in the year 2014. A new line of refrigerators and UHD monitors are also going to hit the market in 2014
Most of these devices were showcased at the Consumer Electronic Show at Las Vegas recently
