Saudi- Rao meets Riyadh governor


(MENAFN- Arab News) Indian Ambassador Hamid Ali Rao met Riyadh Gov. Prince Khaled bin Bandar and reviewed bilateral affairs between the two friendly countries, sources said



"During the meeting, they exchanged views and evaluated bilateral affairs between the two countries," sources said



Sibi George, deputy chief of mission at the Indian Embassy, described the meeting as positive, sources said



George, who accompanied the ambassador, said, "We have requested the Riyadh governor to shift unauthorized Indians from the shelter at exit 18 to the Saudi government shelter at the old campus of Princess Nora bint Abdulrahman University. About 180 people have been shifted to the campus so far.



He said, "We have also requested Saudi authorities to exempt illegals from fines. The matter is under progress and we are expecting positive results.



The Indian Embassy will also provide free tickets for repatriation for nationals who are facing financial difficulties, he said
