51 Packets Of Shabu, Roll Of Hashish Seized From GCC National


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Hawally securitymen recently arrested a GCC national for trading in drugs with different types of narcotics and drug paraphernalia in his possession. A press release from the Interior Ministry revealed that while patrolling the area, the securitymen asked the suspect to stop for routine inspection. This led to the discovery of 51 packets of shabu, a roll of hashish and an undisclosed amount believed to be the suspect's earnings from selling drugs. The suspect was referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action. Meanwhile, Director General of the Rescue Police Department Brigadier Zuhair Al-Nasrallah lauded the securitymen for a job well done, particularly their crucial role in arresting drug traders. He also confirmed the continuation of security crackdowns in all areas to ensure public order and arrest criminals. Citizen held for drug use: Police have arrested a 33-year-old citizen for consuming drugs, reports Al- Watan Arabic daily. After he was found unconscious at an unidentified location, police rushed him to the Adan Hospital where he is being treated under police guard. Sources said after the man is discharged from hospital, he will be referred to the General Department for Drugs Control.
