UAE- Driver denies abusing boy
(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) A 30-year-old Pakistani driver denied touching his employer's seven-year-old son inappropriately and repeatedly during a month as he was transporting him to and from school.
The Pakistani allegedly took advantage that he was alone with the British boy during the rides and touched his private parts against his will. He pleaded not guilty to the sexual abuse charge when he appeared in the Court of First Instance.
The boy's mother, a 32-year-old housewife, said she reported the incident to the Jebel Ali police station on May 26.
She said in that month, her son's behaviour changed. "He was sad and did not want to have a bath or put on beautiful clothes." The boy did not also want to stay home.
She was tickling and caressing him when her boy told her to stop as the accused used to touch him too. She learnt from him that the driver touched him inappropriately around 15 times and against her son's will. "Once my son told him to stop the car and moved to the back seat to be away from him."
The boy said the defendant used to touch him repeatedly for about one month and would not stop. He said that he was alone with the driver on the journey from school and he would put his hand in his underwear.
The accused admitted during the prosecution investigation that he had touched the boy when he was driving him between The Greens and Arabian Ranches. He claimed it was only once and it was a joke.
