Algeria party leader says revolution not on cards

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The newly elected leader of the Movement for the Society of Peace (MSP), Abdulrazzak Makri, said on Sunday Algerian people appreciated peace and security and opposed the idea of revolutions. Speaking to KUNA, Makri, who was elected chairman of the MSP on Saturday, said violent change would not be in the interest of Algeria, but vowed that he and his movement would strongly press for change in the country. He warned of foreign conspiracies against Algeria and other countries which boast natural resources. He also promised that he would lead a change in the Movement for the Society of Peace (MSP) in order to be able to properly and efficiently handle political and social events in Algeria. Makri believed that his new election would certainly establish the devolution of power within the movement, and would mean change in visions and thoughts.
