Telefonica Deutschland posts USD363m 1Q profit

(MENAFN) Telefonica Deutschland posted a slight decline in its first quarter operating profit, which was down 0.7 percent to USD363 million, reported Reuters. Major telecom market competition also saw its wireless revenue drop 10.7 percent to USD412.8 million. The company has had to reform business plans in order to focus on mobile data as an increasing number of users have switched to smartphones. It's worth noting that Germany has been a dependent growing telecoms market for a long time, due to the absent of regulatory effects as seen in Britain, Italy and France.
