Tunisia Nidaa part voices "readiness to engage in political responsibility"

(MENAFN) The Tunisian Nidaa Tounes party said that the current Tunisia government of Youssef Chahed has led to a serious political crisis.

The party, which is taking over the presidency, parliament and government, expressed its "full readiness to engage in any political responsibility coming from any position, according to its consistent assessment of national interest and its absolute refusal to be a tool to strike the social and political consensus".

The movement criticized what it described as "a focused campaign targeting the role of the President of the Republic as a patron of political and social consensus and a reference to popular electoral and constitutional legitimacy."

Announcing that it would keep its meeting open in order to take the necessary decisions in light of what will lead to developments and discussions with political and social parties, the movement called on its parliamentary bloc to meet on Wednesday.
