Barcelona Soccer Academy Oman signs pact with AEICD to train 25 children
'We have been thinking about this initiative, which is the first of its kind to change people's view of children with disabilities. We look to support these children and raise their spirits,' said Haitham Sultan, CEO of BSA Oman. BSA will provide weekly football training for 25 children. Special exercise sessions will be held from February to March 2018 and September 2018 to April 2019.
The academy will also provide training kits for the children. 'AEICD will provide playground, means of transportation, a medical report for each child, no-objection letters of parents and the necessary medicines.'Sayyida Hajija bint Jafer al Said, chairperson of AEICD, said, 'I am very happy to sign this agreement with BSA, which has very good coaches. Football will teach our children a lot of qualities such as patience and strengthen their bodies.'
