France condemns Cairo church attack
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) PARIS, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- France on Friday condemned an attack Friday against an Egyptian Coptic church in the capital, Cairo, in which at least ten people were reported killed.
The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the "hateful attack" should not call into question "the funadamental spirit of living together and the tolerance that is characteristic of Egyptian society".
Paris sent condolences to the victims of the attack, which included at last three Egyptian policemen, and expressed "solidarity with Egypt in this trial and renewed it support in the fight it is carrying out against terrorism." The Foreign Ministry stressed it has a constant dialogue with Egypt on this question and an ongoing cooperation in the fight against the terrorist threat. (end) jk.mt
