Kuwaiti rider wins title of Aquabike World Championship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DUBAI, Dec 20 (KUNA) -- Yousef Al-Abdulrazzaq, of Kuwait, won the Sharjah Grand Prix of the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship on Wednesday.

He expressed deep joy for winning the title of the professionals' championship for the third year running and for the ninth time.

"This is an unprecedented record in this kind of sports," Al-Abdulrazzaq said in statements to KUNA tonight, noting that this achievement enhanced his position in the Guinness World Records.

He dedicated the achievement to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince eikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as well as the Kuwaiti government and people, and pledging to do more in future events.

Al-Abdulrazzaq thanked Minister of Youth and Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Rawdhan and Secretary of the Amiri Diwan Shiekh Sabah Nasser Al-Sabah for their support to the Kuwaiti mission to the just-ended championship. (end) smr.gb
