Russia-Trump investigation: Trump lashes out at FBI, questions its integrity

On December 3, President Trump posted a series of tweets attacking the FBI and once again denied asking former FBI director James Comey to end an investigation into his former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
Trump also said the FBI's reputation was "in tatters."
This came amid recent developments in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's alleged interference in the US presidential election.
FBI chief Christopher Wray defends agency after Trump's attacks

On December 8, Wray strongly defended the agency and hit back at US President Donald Trump who had earlier tweeted that its reputation was "in tatters."
Speaking to the House of Representatives judiciary committee, Wray said there was "no finer institution."
Trump has been critical of the FBI's investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
He had fired Wray's predecessor, James Comey in May.

US President Donald Trump has so far been hostile to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Speaking recently at FBI National Academy's graduation ceremony in Virginia, he stated that he supports the agency a 100% and added that it was full of great people.
He said this merely an hour after criticizing the agency.

Before traveling to the FBI campus, Trump said that people are "very angry" with the bureau's actions.
Speaking to graduates at Quantico afterward he stated, "The president of the United States has your back 100%."
"By the way, you are great people... I'd say like 90% are great, right? The other 10%, that's not working out so well," he added.
