Kenya inauguration: Kenyatta sworn in for second term of presidency
(MENAFN) While being boycotted by the opposition, a ceremony was held for the inauguration of Kenya President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nairobi, the capital as he sworn in for a second term in presidency.
The ceremony was crowded with supporters in the stadium while many others attempted to attend without seats before police pulled them back.
In order to put an end to a protest rally conducted by opposition supporters, riot police were set out in another part of the city. The ceremony was ridiculed by opposition leader Raila Odinga in labeling it as a "coronation."
