Policeman shot dead in Qatif, Saudi Arabia
(MENAFN) A 25-year-old Saudi policeman was shot and killed in the Eastern Province of Al Qatif, according to a report by Al Riyadh newspaper.
First Lieutenant Abdulla Badr Mohammed Al Qahtani faced shots fired as he was about to stop at a traffic light in his official vehicle, 'drive-by shooting' style.
He was shot dead near Al Buhari village before as suspect fled the crime scene.
Security authorities launched an inquiry to identify the killer and bring him to justice, said Eastern Province Police media spokesman Colonel Zeyad Al Ruqaiti.
The shooter's identity whatsoever was still unknown nor his intentions or motives.
