Kuwait- Egyptian plastic surgeon accused of committing medical errors

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 28: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Hawalli Police Station accusing an Egyptian plastic surgeon of removing part from her abdomen as a result of which she had to be rushed to the intensive care unit of a hospital with serious complications, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman said the surgery was done inside the private clinic of the surgeon.

When the surgeon was summoned by police for interrogation, he admitted to performing the operation. Police discovered later the surgeon had committed similar medical errors in the past. The case has been referred to the General Department of Interrogations.

Expired milk seized: The emergency team of Capital Municipality, headed by Zaid Al- Enezi, confiscated large quantity of expired formula milk from a warehouse in Shuwaikh, reports Al Qabas daily.

According to a source, inspection tours of food stores and shops resulted in discovery of 700 kilograms of expired formula milk, sweets and juices. These were confiscated in preparation for destruction. Necessary legal measures were taken against the violators.
