Oman's fixed telephone lines user base grows 15.9 percent
(MENAFN) Whole number of fixed telephone lines, involving post- and pre-paid, public, WLL, and ISDN channels in Oman logged a growth of 15.9 percent in 2015.
Moreover, the fixed telephone line subscriber base reached 434,932 by the end of the cited year, against 375,196 recorded at the end of 2014.
There has been a 7.3 percent rise in the number of mobile subscribers (post- and pre-paid) last year, with the number increasing to 6,646,674mn, from 6,194,169 in 2014.
In addition, fixed pre-paid (card fixed) telephones viewed the highest growth at 69.4 percent, taking the whole to 56,021, whereas post-paid connections rose by 12.9 percent to 325,083.
