Slovakia's economy to pick up 3 percent in 2015

(MENAFN) Slovak Finance Minister said the country's Economy has gained momentum in terms of employment, economic growth and domestic demand since 2009, Xinhua reported.

The minister was speaking after the European Commission released its spring forecast earlier, in which it predicted Slovakia's economic growth to pick up to 3.0 percent this year, and to 3.4 percent next year.

"We'd like to adopt a budget with a deficit below 2 percent of GDP for the first time ever," he said, adding that this was proof that Slovakia would continue to tread the path towards a balanced budget in 2017.
