UN confirms two blasts S. Lebanon
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The UN peacekeeping mission confirmed two explosions took place near Kfar Kela village in southern Lebanon on Friday
General Paulo Sierra, Commander of the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), is contacting the parties concerned to bring the situation under control, a statement by the UN force said
UN forces are investigating the explosions, he added
"The two sides affirmed their commitment to ceasing hostile acts and to preserve stability of the region," said Sierra
The Lebanese army announced earlier that the Israeli forces fired nine shells at the Bestra and Halta Farms after an explosive device went off at an Israeli patrol inside the occupied territories.
