Date:

(MENAFN) Türkiye and China are set to host a business forum focused on green development in Istanbul on Nov. 9, coinciding with a visit by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng as both countries commemorate the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations.

Han is expected to travel with a delegation of leading Chinese business figures representing key industries, including tourism, infrastructure, energy, technology and finance.

The Türkiye-China Green Development Business Forum is being jointly organized by the Türkiye-China Business Council, operating under the Foreign Economic Relations Board, and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and Trade Minister Omer Bolat are also expected to take part in the gathering, which seeks to create further investment opportunities and deepen bilateral cooperation in the transition toward environmentally sustainable development.

Participants from government institutions and the private sector will join discussions addressing a range of fields, including environmental technologies, recycling, smart manufacturing, electric vehicles, petrochemicals, logistics, financial services and tourism.

The event will take place alongside the 31st UN Climate Change Conference (COP31), which is scheduled to run from Nov. 9 to 20 in Antalya, in southern Türkiye.
