Fidan Highlights Türkiye’s Practical Proposals at G20 Talks
(MENAFN) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Ankara presented practical initiatives aimed at tackling international crises and improving global cooperation during the G20 foreign ministers' gathering in Atlanta, emphasizing Türkiye’s commitment to a constructive and solution-oriented diplomatic approach.
Speaking on the sidelines of Saturday’s meeting, Fidan described the gathering as especially significant amid an expanding range of global challenges, including energy disruptions and increasing strain on international supply chains.
He said the discussions and proposals contributed by participating nations could support collective efforts to tackle some of the most urgent issues facing the international community.
The two-day gathering, organized under the leadership of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, was part of preparations for the G20 leaders' summit scheduled to take place in Miami in December.
Global crises, energy security, supply chains
Fidan said the foreign ministers took part in three central discussion sessions covering international crises, energy security and interruptions to supply networks.
He highlighted increasing constraints affecting key maritime routes in the Black Sea, Gulf and Red Sea, warning that disruptions across these strategic waterways are having a significant impact on international commerce and global supply chains.
