Efoil Racing Türkiye Stages Türkiye's First International Efoil Race In Bodrum

Riders and the organising team at the close of the Efoil Racing Türkiye international race, hosted by Lujo Bodrum on 16 to 18 October 2026 with Hergele Life as main sponsor.

İSTANBUL, İSTANBUL, TURKEY, October 22, 2026 /EINPresswire / -- BODRUM, Türkiye, 20 October 2026 – Efoil Racing Türkiye, in cooperation with the international eFoil Racing League, staged Türkiye's first international eFoil race in Bodrum on 16 to 18 October. Hosted by Lujo Bodrum, the event brought together 28 riders from a range of countries, 18 international and 10 from Türkiye. The race was held with Hergele Life as main sponsor and with the support of Peninsula Tours.

Racing ran for three days on the Aegean coast off Bodrum, with riders competing in the general classification. Justin Chait (USA) took first place in the men's category and Laura Jil (Netherlands) won the women's category.

A new era for electric water sports in Türkiye

In Türkiye, eFoil has until now been known mainly through individual use, training and experience activities. With the event staged by Efoil Racing Türkiye, it has become part of international competition. The first race in Bodrum marks an important starting point for the sport to develop in Türkiye with defined rules, race formats and international participation.

Lal Polater, co-founder of Efoil Racing Türkiye, said:

Building the sport in Türkiye

Hergele Life is among the companies developing the eFoil category in Türkiye through experience centres, training activities and equipment distribution. Bodrum hosts the international eFoil field

Hosted by Lujo Bodrum, directed by the Efoil Racing League, the event was run under the auspices of the Turkish Motorcycle Federation, the national federation that governs the discipline in Türkiye, with official duties and support provided by the Bodrum Motorcycle Club.

Hergele Life was the main sponsor of the organisation, with Peninsula Tours contributing to the staging of the race. Avalanche Ice and Daily Tender were also among the sponsors.
