Zelensky Discusses Next Steps Toward Just Peace With Støre In Norway

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Ukrainian president wrote about the meeting on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“We continue to coordinate with Jonas Gahr Støre on our next steps toward a just peace. We held another meeting with Jonas in Oslo this morning. Much depends on whether the American side will hear anything new from Russia today-about peace, rather than the continuation of the war,” Zelenskyy wrote.

He thanked Norway and Støre personally for their leadership in supporting Ukraine in defense, economic, and diplomatic matters.

“We feel this support every day,” the Ukrainian president stressed.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on October 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks in Oslo with U.S. presidential envoy Steve Witkoff, with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb also taking part.

On October 21, Witkoff met with Vladimir Putin in St. Petersburg. He was expected to discuss new proposals for ending Russia's war against Ukraine, including trilateral peace talks between Kyiv, Washington, and Moscow, potentially involving other stakeholders involved.
