Kazakhstan places special importance on joint IT development with Türkiye

(MENAFN) Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized on Tuesday that Kazakhstan places strong importance on developing information technologies (IT) in partnership with Türkiye.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Ankara alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Tokayev noted the significance of advancing IT collaboration between the two nations. He arrived in the Turkish capital a day earlier for an official visit.

Tokayev praised Türkiye’s accomplishments in the defense sector and congratulated Erdogan on the successful organization of the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025), held in Istanbul from July 22 to 27. He said Türkiye’s advanced defense technologies were highly praised by international observers.

Highlighting the need to integrate digital innovations into the economy, Tokayev stated that Kazakhstan is also making significant strides in IT and artificial intelligence, with key initiatives already underway in Astana.

He expressed optimism about expanding the strategic IT partnership between Kazakhstan and Türkiye, underscoring the mutual benefits it offers both nations.

Tokayev concluded by stressing the importance of closer bilateral ties during these challenging times, adding that the Kazakh people hold deep respect for President Erdogan and view Türkiye as thriving under his leadership.
