Musk Slams Trump's Tax Bill As 'Disgusting Abomination'
KABUL (Pajhwok): Tech billionaire Elon Musk has strongly criticised President Donald Trump's flagship tax and spending bill, calling it a“disgusting abomination.”
“I'm sorry, but I just can't stand it anymore. This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination,” Musk posted on X.“Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
According to the reports, the budget-passed by the House of Representatives last month-includes multi-trillion dollar tax breaks, increased defence spending, and provisions allowing the US government to borrow more money.
In a series of follow-up posts, Musk outlined his objections, warning that the proposed spending and tax cuts would dramatically inflate the US national debt.
“It will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden American citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt,” he wrote. In another post, he added,“Congress is making America bankrupt.”
Musk recently resigned from his advisory role in the administration after 129 days. His team, known as“Doge”, had been tasked with identifying cost-cutting measures.
