Kuwaitis in Spain urged to be cautious about heavy rains
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MADRID, Sept 13 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Embassy to Madrid appealed to its nationals in Alicante and Valencia cities to be vigilant as the country is witnessing heavy rains and floods in some areas.
In a statement issued on Friday, the embassy urged Kuwaitis in these cities to follow up instructions of the Spanish authorities and concerned bodies, and contact the embassy at the emergency number: +34 656665555.
Earlier in the day, Spain's ministry of interior said at least five people were killed and many others wounded by the heavy rains hit eastern Spain.
It added that some 3,500 people were evacuated from the affected provinces. The rainstorm caused great material losses to homes, farms, cars and infrastructure. (end)
