5.5 percent boost in UAE's medical tourism sales
(MENAFN) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) stood at USD3.3 billion in its medical tourism sales last year to mark a 5.5 percent surge on annual basis.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry issued an analysis, unveiling USD13.61 billion to have been registered in UAE health spending to reflect a jump by 5.4 percent year-on-year.
Fresh medical tourism plans that the UAE launched helped achieved such a boost in this field, the analysis explained.
Growing sector privatization in the form of investment and through establishing innovative health facilities also drove growth in the area, it added.
