Foreign women arrested in Malaysia for prostitution

(MENAFN- Asia Times) Two Indonesian and three Vietnamese women were arrested on Wednesday night at an unlicensed reflexology center in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, for allegedly providing illegal sex services.

At about 10:25 pm on June 5, officers from the Selangor Anti-Vice, Gaming and Secret Societies Division raided a premises on Jalan PJS 8/2, Dataran Mentari of Petaling Jaya, the China Press reported.

Five women in their 20s – two Indonesians and three Vietnamese – and a 30-year-old local man who worked as a guard were arrested.

Intelligence sources said the center had been run by a prostitution syndicate for a few months. The syndicate charged between 170 and 200 ringgit (US$40-48) per sexual transaction.

During the raid, officers also recovered a notebook with records of sexual transactions, mobile phones, five condoms and 525 ringgit (US$126) in cash, which were all confiscated as evidence.

All those arrested were taken to Sungai Way police station for further questioning.
