Kuwait grabs three more medals in Asian karate event in Malaysia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's karate team has bagged another three various medals in the Asian Youth Championship held in Malaysia, bringing Kuwait's tally up to five medals.

Sultan Al-Muteiri, Ahmad Al-Handal and Yusuf Al-Otaibi won gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in various categories.

Chairman of the Kuwait Karate Federation Emad Bahbahani dedicated the victory to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and all Kuwaiti people.

He boasted that this achievement was made due to an all-out plan set out by the federation's board of directors for years to come, along with the strong will and determination of the national karate team.

Earlier on Saturday, Dhari Al-Daikan and Mohammad Al-Otaibi won two gold and bronze medals respectively during the Asian championship. (end) fr.fh.mt
