Kuwait, Greece sign four cooperation MoUs
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and Greece signed in Athens Friday four memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on cooperation in media and industry.
The signing ceremony followed meetings of Kuwait-Greece Ministerial Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation, the Finance Ministry said in a statement in Kuwait.
The ministry added the MoUS covered cooperation in media, specifications and standardization, industry and development of exports.
The two sides also signed the minutes of the first committee meeting, during which the Kuwaiti and Greek parties discussed a host of projects that would cement bilateral cooperation, and called on importance of fully implementing previously-signed deals.
Kuwait Finance Minister Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf was quoted as describing political and diplomatic relations with Greece as excellent.
"We agreed today to work hard to create the suitable environment to foster trade relations and increase trade exchange between the two countries," he said.
Al-Hajraf said the two sides agreed to convene the next committee meeting in Kuwait next year, calling on Greek companies to visit Kuwait to explore investment opportunities.
On the other hand, Al-Hajraf held talks with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos on boosting bilateral relations and cooperation.
