Azerbaijani among dead in Moscow plane crash

Azerbaijani citizen Namig Gahramanov, resident of the country's Yevlakh district, died in a plane crash near Moscow on Feb. 11, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry's Spokesman Hikmat Hajiyev told Trend Feb. 12.

A Russian plane carrying 71 people crashed near Moscow shortly after takeoff on Feb. 11 afternoon, killing all on board.

Flight 703, operated by the Russian regional carrier Saratov Airlines, was carrying 65 passengers and six crew members. The cause of crash is unclear. The plane was en route to the city of Orsk in the Ural mountains.
